3.4.2. Rated working pressure 

To avoid pressuirsed fluids escaping into the environment, fluid power system components should have appropriate factors of safety on the rated working pressure to bursting pressure. 

Hose assemblies should have a safety factor of 2.5:1 

Adaptor fittings should have a factor of safety of 2.5:1 on rated working pressure to catastrophic failure of the adaptor fitting
